High Country Insurance Services, Inc. is a locally owned and operated Independent Insurance Agency established in 1978 under the prior name Denton Insurance.
Our office represents several large National and Regional Companies, allowing us to shop for the best program and pricing in order to tailor a policy to fit your needs. While we are large enough to give a competitive edge, we still pride ourselves on giving each client the time and respect he/she deserves.

Lisa is a native of Watauga County and has worked for the insurance industry since 1988. She earned her Certified Builders Insurance Agent designation in 2006 and Certified Insurance Counsel designation in 2013. Lisa holds a Property/Casualty License, Life/Health License and a Med Supplement/Long Term Care License.

Wendy moved to the High Country in 1997 and has worked in the insurance industry since 1985. She obtained her CBIA designation in 2021 and holds a Property/Casualty License.

Denise moved to the High Country in 1982. She has worked in the insurance industry since 2012. She obtained her CISR designation in 2021 and her CBIA designation in 2022. Denise holds a Property/Casualty License and Life Insurance License.
